From the Author of Leilani's Hibiscus, Jon Shirota
Director Koki-san was very happy that the actors in Leilani's Hisbiscus performed so well after a long trip from Okinawa. The actors themselves were quite surprised by the warm response from the audience during and after the performances. They were very grateful for the unexpected hospitality they received from the OAA members. For many of them it was their first trip to America and they will always remember the people they met here. The Kenjinkai showed them that no matter where you are, Okinawans are Okinawans, always friendly and caring.
