Okinawan Diaspora Lecture
May 17th, 2003The Culture Committee presented a lecture and book signing of Okinawan Diaspora, by Dr. Ronald Nakasone and Dr. Edith Kaneshiro at the OAA Yamauchi Building. Nearly 100 people were in attendance.
Dr. Kaneshiro, Dr. Nakasone, Aiko Tokunaga - Culture Committee President, Mrs. Nakasone, and their daughter Heather Nakasone.
Dr. Nakasone spoke on "An Impossible Possibility" from the book Okinawan Diaspora. He also spoke on Okinawan spirituality and gave a slide presentation.
