Seeking Applicants for Unique 2007 Okinawa Junior Study Tour

OAA seeks one student and possibly one chaperone for the Junior Study Tour in Okinawa from July 18, 2007 to July 30, 2007. The Okinawa Prefectural Government (OPG) is inviting youth from overseas kenjinkai to Okinawa to deepen ties with their native land through participation with Okinawan students in various learning experiences about Okinawa's history, culture, society, nature, and study of peace.

Must be of Okinawan descent and between the age of 13 - 18. Both student and chaperone must be OAA members. For info on specific requirements or for applications for participant or chaperone, please donwload from above, call the OAA office at (310) 532-1929, or email at mensore@earthlink.net. In terms of the deadline to apply, applications must be postmarked no later than Thursday, March 15, 2007 to the OAA Center.
