Okinawa Association of America Celebrates "Year of the Rooster"
About 500 people celebrated the Okinawa Association America's 2005 New Year's Celebration on January 16, 2005 at the Quiet Cannon Restaurant.
Community Service Award given to to Steven Awakuni for utilizing his expertise in updating the OAA by-laws. Certificate was offered by former OAA President, Chogi Higa.
Congressman Gary Miller installed the 2005 Board of Directors, Committee Chairpersons, and Officers.
Man of the Year, Haruo Yamashiro received a special resolution from U.S. Congressman Gary Miller.
